4G medical alert communication

The Guardian 4G uses 4G/LTE communication for emergency alerts, SMS notifications, voice calls and two-way voice communication. A Ness Telstra SIM is supplied with the system.

Waterproof medical alert pendant included

The system includes a Ness 106-380 Two Way Radio medical alert pendant with both a neck chain and wrist strap. The pendant allows the user to trigger an emergency alert while moving around the home.

Two-way voice communication

Following an alert, a carer or family member can call back to the Guardian unit and communicate through its two-way voice function.

SMS and voice self-monitoring

The Guardian 4G can be configured for self-monitoring using SMS and voice calls, providing an option for families or carers who do not require a central monitoring service.

Inactivity alerts

Compatible Ness Two Way Radio PIR sensors can be configured for inactivity monitoring, helping provide an additional alert if expected activity is not detected.

Expandable wireless medical alert system

The Guardian 4G can support additional Ness Two Way Radio devices, including medical alert pendants, PIR motion detectors, reed switches and other compatible wireless devices.

Security alarm functions

In addition to medical alert functions, the Guardian 4G can provide home security functions including wireless arming, disarming and panic functions when compatible radio keys and sensors are added.

Built-in backup battery

The Guardian 4G includes an internal rechargeable backup battery to help maintain operation during a mains power failure.

Ness Telstra SIM & ongoing service

The Ness Guardian 4G is supplied with a pre-fitted Ness Telstra SIM. An active Ness SIM plan is required for the 4G communication, SMS and voice calling functions.

Please note that the SIM/service cost is separate from the purchase price of the Guardian 4G hardware.

How does the Ness Guardian 4G medical alert system work?

1. Wear the medical alert pendant around the neck or wrist.
2. Press the emergency button when help is required.
3. The Guardian 4G communicates the alert using the supplied 4G connection.
4. Depending on the system configuration, SMS or voice alerts can be sent to nominated contacts, or the system can communicate with a compatible monitoring service.
5. Two-way voice communication allows the Guardian unit to be contacted following an alert.
6. Optional wireless sensors can provide additional functions such as inactivity monitoring and home security alerts.

When the emergency button is pressed, the system can automatically contact pre-programmed numbers or monitoring services depending on setup.
